Vector Space: Open House/Skill Share (11/1) and Robot Combat (11/2)
Vector Space is a makerspace and community workshop with the mission to build an open and collaborative community that fosters innovation, creativity, and the pursuit of science based knowledge. They are a non-profit community makerspace. Their founders and staff are passionate about making, and teaching others to make. They believe the most rewarding things in life are hands-on experiences shared with others. Services include membership, skill-building classes, and arts and engineering programs for teens. Scholarships and community outreach are integral to their mission.
Open House & Skill Share
This November, Vector Space is excited to share with you the joy of leather working! On Friday, November 1 from 5-7:45 PM, attendees will be making their own card holders or free-styling their own small projects. Vector Space volunteers will also be providing a tour of their 23,000 sq. ft. makerspace with work areas ranging from ceramics to machining.
First Friday is always free, family-friendly and open to the public, entry donations of $2 or more are welcome and appreciated. This event is made possible by The Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation, SHARE Greater Lynchburg, the Downtown Lynchburg Association, amazing volunteers, by donors & community members.

Vector Space Robot Combat
It's time for a robot rumble! Hosted by Vector Space at Virginia Episcopal School, this is a smaller version of BattleBots on Saturday, November 2, 10 AM- 3 PM. Competitors will battle their one and three pound bots in an 8x8x8 arena. Register online to compete with your robot, or attend to watch the competition. Prizes include tools, robot parts, Vector Space membership and more. This event is supported by V.E.S., The Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation, Oldham Dentistry and L3 Harris.
