Are you in need of food? Find a list of Blue Ridge Area Food Bank partner pantries in the Lynchburg region here: https://foodfinder.brafb.org/ As the cost of groceries, fuel, healthcare, and housing skyrocket, more local families are experiencing food insecurity. But, with your help the Food Bank is helping fill the gap. Together, we are supplying food to partners, programs, and people experiencing hunger in the city of Lynchburg and the counties of Bedford, Amherst, Appomattox, Campbell, and Nelson. The Food Bank could not do this work without the continued support of the many generous volunteers who are contributing tens of thousands of hours to help ensure food gets distributed to people living with hunger. As a volunteer you’ll pack food in the Lynchburg warehouse, distribute food at Mobile Food Pantries, or work in a specialized volunteer role. Funding is our greatest need and your gifts are maximized through our affiliation with Feeding America, a national organization supporting food banks across the country. Your gift of money or time helps us buy, then safely store and distribute nutritious food to 49 partner agencies (like food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters) around the greater Lynchburg area. So, whether you donate $50,000 or $5, know that with every $1 you give, you’re helping provide 4 meals to someone who needs the help.
