Lynchburg’s annual night of storytelling, HOPEx, takes center stage at the Academy Center of the Arts on April 4, 2025, at 7 PM. HOPEx 2025: The Art of Change brings together community leaders, educators, and advocates for an inspiring evening dedicated to supporting Lynchburg Beacon of Hope’s mission to expand educational and career opportunities for all of the city’s youth.
Celebrate with Opera on the James at their Cheers to 20 Years Birthday Bash on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Academy Center’s Warehouse Theatre in downtown Lynchburg! This special event marks two decades of remarkable performances and community spirit, brought by YOUR hometown opera company.
Join us for a complimentary morning coffee and pastries and meet other nonprofit leaders! Learn about SHARE Greater Lynchburg's annual programming and the Hillcats Community Champions program.

Join us for our SHARE Greater Lynchburg Peer-to-Peer Lunch and Learn event of March 5 at Amazement Square! Enjoy lunch in their Education Center, participate in a team-building session, and take a guided tour of the museum. While Amazement Square is best known as a hands-on, multi-disciplinary children's museum, it also offers facility rentals, staff team-building programs, and community partnerships. Come discover how your organization can benefit from these opportunities!

AGAR and seven partner organizations have been funded by The National Endowment for the Arts, Virginia Humanities and the Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation to conduct a community read and discussions of
Author Yaa Gyasi's prize-winning novel “HOMEGOING" as well as related Arts and Humanities programs relating to Black History in Greater Lynchburg and Amherst County.
