Second Stage Amherst's Halloween Bash

Second Stage Amherst is proud to announce their 3rd Annual Amherst’s Halloween Bash, which will take place on Friday, October 25 from 6-9PM. This is a completely FREE event for Amherst and surrounding communities. Bring your family to enjoy this family-friendly event, including trunk-or-treating in the main parking area and a dance party, featuring DJ Janet Rose, on the side lawn.

The first 1,200 guests will be served hot dogs free of charge and refreshments will be available, which will include cookies from McDonald’s, chips from Frito Lay, nachos and cheese from Anointed Hands Catering, soda from Coke Consolidated, water donated by Sam’s Club, and more! Costume contests will be held at approximately 7:30PM, so come early and stay to enjoy the festivities!

Executive Director, Jessy Shipe, says “We are so excited to be hosting this event again this year. Last year’s Halloween Bash was a huge success and we are positive this year will be even better! We look forward to seeing families come together to celebrate the holidays in this beautiful town!”

This event is made possible through partnerships between Second Stage Amherst and Blue Ridge Realty Group; Christina Holmes, Realtor; State Farm, Richard Buck; Town of Amherst Police Department; West Enterprises; Ferro Felling; McBride Signs; Montague Miller Amherst; F&L Market; Bizzee B’s BBQ; and Baine’s Books & Coffee. We are able to maintain a FREE community event thanks to donations by our partners, our annual sponsors, and a Spark Good grant from Walmart. Join us for trunk-or-treating with many of our partners, along with Cindy’s Closet, Amherst Library, and others!

Volunteers are still needed for this event. Please contact Jessy Shipe, Executive Director, at (434) 941-0997 for more information. Donations to support Second Stage Amherst in order to continue organizing community events and programming may be sent to Second Stage Amherst, 194 Second Street, Amherst, VA 24521.
