Some call it stories. Others call it a blog. But here you will find nuggets of goodness to use and -- you guessed it -- SHARE!

Peer-to-Peer Lunch and Learn at The UP Foundation

The UP Foundation addresses the specific needs of young people needing recovery support services from substance use and mental health disorders. We are the only program of its kind in Virginia. Our goal is to help young people heal and stay emotionally healthy. Our outpatient recovery support services help young people get the help they need while continuing to live at home. We provide individual, group and family counseling, recovery coaching and peer support, therapeutic mentoring, after-school enrichment, and fun, recreational activities – all designed to help young people not only cope, but to thrive and reach their full potential. Older persons are served on an individual basis. We give participants the tools they need to recover from trauma, stay emotionally healthy, live drug free lives, be successful, and reach their “Unlimited Potential.” At The UP Foundation, we go the extra mile to transform one life at a time, and are committed to our vision to help every young person we encounter to live the best life he or she was meant to have. From prevention to treatment and recovery, The UP Foundation is here for you!

Join us for our SHARE Greater Lynchburg Peer-to-Peer Lunch and Learn event on July 1, 2026 where we will meet for a lunch presentation and tour at The UP Foundation. We will learn about their mission and Breathe Free program and Dream Team!

Lunch will be provided by Freedom First Credit Union.
