Nonprofit Organizations Use SHARE Greater Lynchburg Wish List Feature to Share their Greatest Needs
SHARE Greater Lynchburg’s mission is to offer simple ways for neighbors, nonprofits and businesses to come together through good to support the local community. One of the ways that people can support the local community is through the Amazon Wish List Shop for Good feature on the SHARE website.
There are 131 nonprofit organizations featured on the SHARE Greater Lynchburg website that have the ability to create an Amazon wish list that is then linked to their SHARE profile. This way, visitors to their profile can buy items on the wish list that the organizations need and the items are shipped directly to the doorstep of the organization.
For example, the Lighthouse Community Center, who serves daily hot lunches and provides carry-out groceries is currently in need of Hot Hands hand warmers, of which can be seen on their profile.
Although human services organizations are in great need of items, animal service organizations are also in need this season. For example, the Central Virginia Regional Rescue, located in Forest, VA is in need of wet cat food, Purina dog food, and cat toys. The Wish List feature on SHARE Greater Lynchburg’s website is a wonderful asset to both organizations and community members looking for ways to help in the community. SHARE Greater Lynchburg continues to encourage our nonprofit partners to update their wish lists this season and make the most out of SHARE’s platform so that neighbors in the community can help those in need.
