Girls on the Run Central Virginia Blue Ridge Seeks Volunteers for their Celebration 5K on Saturday, November 23
Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. At Girls on the Run, girls are encouraged to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.
Be part of an unforgettable day of empowerment and celebration! The Girls on the Run 5K is more than just a run—it’s a joyful event where girls of all abilities achieve their goals and cross the finish line with confidence. Volunteers are essential to making this event a success, and your help would be greatly appreciated!
There are volunteer opportunities for people of all ages and skill sets, whether you love cheering on runners, helping behind the scenes, or just being part of a fun and uplifting community event.
Girls on the Run Central Virginia Blue Ridge is seeking fifteen additional volunteers to make their Celebration 5K at Sweet Briar College a success!
Your time and support will help create a safe, encouraging, and memorable experience for our girls as they cross the finish line with pride.
