World Help

Volunteer Opportunity:
Sort Donated Clothing and Supplies

This opportunity has passed.

You can play a vital role in sending people around the world the help they need. World Help receives more than 1 million pieces of donated clothing, medical equipment, packages of food, and more each year. But these lifesaving supplies must be counted, sorted, and packed in our distribution center in Lynchburg before they can be shipped to people who are waiting for them. That's why volunteers like you are essential! As a volunteer, you'll help with tasks such as:

*Counting and sorting clothes and shoes by size and type

*Conditioning and testing medical equipment

*Assembling hygiene and emergency kits

*Packaging and labeling boxes of relief supplies

*Loading and unloading trucks The supplies you help ship will be sent to people all around the globe in countries like Nicaragua, Zimbabwe, Nepal, Rwanda, Uganda, and more.

By donating just a few hours of your time, you can help hundreds of men, women, and children in need.

Our regular shifts are held every Monday/ Wednesday from 9am-12pm and Tuesday/Thursday from 1pm-4pm. Click the Apply button or visit worldhelp.net/volunteer to sign up.
