World Help is a humanitarian organization serving the needs of people in impoverished communities around the world. Since 1991, World Help donors have impacted 84 million people in 71 countries. With a variety of global programs, World Help has plenty of ways for you to get involved whatever your passion may be.
*Volunteering: Volunteers are always needed at the World Help Distribution Center in Lynchburg to help sort and pack supplies like clothing, medical equipment and hygiene kits to ship to people around the globe.
*Clean Water: With the help of generous donors, more than 960 communities around the world have received clean water!
*Child Sponsorship: Sponsorship is one of the most powerful ways to help rescue a child from poverty and invest in his or her life physically, mentally and emotionally.
*Freedom from the Sex Industry: World Help works with partners in Thailand and India to help women escape the sex industry and to prevent young girls from being forced into it.
*Refugee Relief: Families forced to flee their homes in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and South Sudan are receiving lifesaving aid thanks to World Help supporters.
*Disaster Relief: When a disaster strikes such as a hurricane, bombing, or earthquake, World Help is uniquely equipped with partners all around the globe to respond as soon as possible.
*Coronavirus Relief: The pandemic has forced many families who were already in need into even greater poverty. Since March 2020, World Help has been responding to these urgent needs, providing food and other urgent help to out-of-work and starving individuals.
