Peacemakers, Inc.

We are looking for volunteers to go with us into the high-crime areas of Lynchburg to meet with those who are most at-risk for violent behavior and help to connect them with resources for employment, job training, and conflict resolution training. Our goal is to show community members that we care, and that there is a better, more sustainable way to live than a life of crime. We have found that unmet social needs are one of the biggest risk factors for crime, and we are working to meet these needs one person at a time
