Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest

Help with our School Field Trip visitors by volunteering in our Hands on History center. Help kids write with quill pens, make bricks, learn about archaeology or tour groups of students through Jefferson's retreat home. Volunteers in Hands on History are asked to work two school groups a month during the Spring and Fall and help with special events with children's programming such as July 4th. 

To become a volunteer at Poplar Forest, you must complete a training program to prepare you for your volunteer position.
