Peacemakers, lnc.

Peacemakers, INC. was founded in Roanoke, VA in 2016 with the intention of ceasing violence in residential neighborhoods and community areas. In April of 2023, the anti-violence nonprofit expanded to Lynchburg, VA. It is the mission of the nonprofit to form partnerships with anchoring institutions, civic leaders, area nonprofits and other forces for good in the Lynchburg community to allow the free flow of information to the hands of individuals who are choosing paths of violence. The organization believes, “If you know better, you do better.” and are aiming to inform the public of paths to success by spending time with them and meeting them where they are. Trained in conflict resolution, CPR, first aid, and basic self-defense, each Peacemaker is able to safely spend time in areas plagued with violence to help make improvements, form peaceful bonds between neighbors, and serve in any capacity they are called to. They help to install security systems, form neighborhood watch groups, and make each city street safe - one by one.
