What We Do
The Lynchburg Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails high-quality books to children from birth to age five, at no cost, no matter their family’s income. Our ultimate goal is to help increase early childhood literacy and kindergarten readiness. Families residing in the City of Lynchburg with children up to age 5 can sign up to receive new, age-appropriate books that will be delivered to your home monthly to create a home library of 60 books of their very own! These books are a FREE GIFT to your child(ren) through the generous support of local donors. There is no cost or obligation to your family.  The cost accrued for these books is covered by the Lynchburg City Schools Education Foundation through the generous support of local sponsors at approximately $2.10 per book each month or $25.00 per child, per year.
