What We Do
A seven-acre urban farm providing purposeful jobs for people with disabilities who help us grow thousands of pounds of food every year for the community. We donate food each week to organizations that feed the hungry and homeless, supply food to 200 families through The Veggie Box, our community supported agriculture program, and, through our veggie prescription program, FreshRx, we provide food to patients referred to us by their doctors, along with classes in cooking and nutrition classes.
Our produce is available for purchase at The Farm Store, which is open during the growing season from March to December. We also carry items from other local farms and orchards, along with specialty items by local food artisans. SNAP/EBT users get a 25% discount.
In normal times, we host many volunteer groups throughout the year, have two large annual events on the farm, The Salad Days and A Greenhouse Dinner, and serve as a favorite destination for student groups and tours. This year, we launched a new way to support our work: The Veggie Society, a fun and easy way to support us. You can become a member by signing up on our website to give recurring donations and enjoy a variety of benefits and rewards in return.
Volunteers are welcome at the farm. Contact Laura to set up days and times and check our website for more info!
