What We Do
Lynchburg Daily Bread serves a free, hot and nutritious meal every day of the year to anyone in need. In addition to our downtown kitchen, we bring meals every week to Altavista, Appomattox, Bedford and more. In 2025, we served 309,222 meals! That is the most in the 43 year history of Daily Bread. Our volunteers donated 12,990 hours of their time, and that's a value of about $451,922! Our greatest need is large boxes of instant mashed potatoes, protein (like ground beef and chicken), and #10 cans of veggies.
