Lyn-CAG assists low-income people to become self-sufficient through supportive services, housing and education. Hand-up Lodge houses homeless families; The Gateway houses homeless men in recovery from substance use disorder. Children & Families provides early childhood education. The Center for Employment Training helps the unemployed gain skills and find work. VA CARES gives ex-offenders returning to the community referrals for housing and employment, provides transportation and work supports. Emergency Services and Homeless Prevention assist those about to lose their utilities or be evicted from housing. Weatherization performs home repairs to keep the elderly housed safely. Childcare helps mothers find childcare for their children so they can work or return to school. Lyn-CAG also has a tax preparation program during tax time to help low income families file their taxes for free. The CNA Program trains certified nursing assistants and helps them get jobs.
