What We Do
The Legacy Project, Inc., owns and operates The Legacy Museum of African American History which provides rotating exhibits and programs on all aspects of local African American history and culture. The mission of the museum is to enrich the lives of visitors by fostering an appreciation of the diversity of the African American experience in Lynchburg and surrounding areas. The Legacy Museum aims to serve all segments of the community by providing education and cultural enrichment through exhibitions, workshops, programs and events.
