What We Do
Lake Christian Ministries (LCM) is a nonprofit supported by Smith Mountain Lake area churches, organizations, businesses and individuals. Since 1992, LCM has provided food, clothing, household items, financial aid and job assistance to neighbors in need. During the COVID Pandemic, LCM provided emergency financial aid for 336 families, amounting to $197,181 paid directly to the providers for housing; fuel; electricity; medical, dental and prescription drug expenses; and other types of crisis assistance - representing a 70% increase in financial aid over the previous year.
