Johnson Health Center is a non-profit, independent, Federally Qualified Health Center serving Lynchburg and the counties of Amherst, Bedford and Campbell. Our services include primary care for adults and pediatrics, mental health, OBGYN, dental, pharmacy and free transportation. All insurances are accepted and a reduced fee is offered to the uninsured and underinsured. Our mission is to provide affordable and comprehensive healthcare with quality services and strong community partnerships.
Johnson Health Center will expand services in Amherst County with the opening of the new Amherst County Community Health Center. Opening in June 2024, this center will combine many of our services including Adult and Pediatric medical and dental, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, and a classroom designed to educate our community on their health needs.

- In 2023, we served over 28,000 patients in the Greater Lynchburg Area.
- Johnson Health Center has two mobile units, for medical and dental care, which are used to take our services into the community.
