We provide mental health services to at-risk youth in Campbell County Public Schools and many of the schools in the Lynchburg City School System via Therapeutic Day Treatment, Outpatient Therapy, Mentoring, Parent Coaching, Intensive Family Services, and others. We strive to go above and beyond so youth receive high quality services regardless of their background. Many of our clients have a history of trauma and range from the ages of 5-18 years old.
We are the largest per capita organization in the state of Virginia providing Therapeutic Day Treatment Services in the schools. Getting youth approved for the services needed continues to be a challenge but Harvest Outreach continues to provide these needed services (thousands of pro bono hours and counting!) to some of the most vulnerable in our community. We look forward to continue growth by providing services for more youth and families in need.
- The Harvest Outreach Center has served over 1200 area at-risk youth and their families.
- In 2020, we spent 4,488 pro-bono hours serving youth that did not have funding and an additional 6,000 hours above and beyond regulation requirements.
- A leader from our local government Community Policy Management Team stated, “Harvest Outreach does more pro-bono work than any other organization I know.”
