What We Do
We are a nonprofit CDC focusing on empowering individuals across all stages of life through innovative and accessible education intervention programs, family support services, and senior citizens enrichment opportunities in Lynchburg, VA. Our mission is to improve the lives of children and families by addressing educational disparities, foster intergenerational collaboration, and promoting holistic family development. Our goal is to build healthy families for generational greatness.
We focus on three main areas:
- Education intervention and mentoring for kids (especially kids from low-income families) in kindergarten through 12th grade. We offer personalized in-school afterschool tutoring in math and reading and a weekend tutorial program. We also offer in-school mentoring programs
- Family empowerment and enrichment programs.
- Senior citizen support. Foster intergenerational collaboration to help senior citizens maintain their independence while also remaining connected with their community.
Interesting Info
- We currently serve over 30 students enrolled in our various education intervention and mentoring programs.
- We partner with the Lynchburg public school system, colleges and universities, families, and community members to ensure no child is left behind.
