What We Do

We are not only a nonprofit human services organization—we are a social impact organization. Every day, we work to change the world by improving the lives of children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities. With more than 200 staff, a network of over 400 care providers, foster and adoptive parents, and a host of volunteers, advocates, and partners, it is work that we cannot accomplish alone.

Hope and belonging is for all of us. With your help, we can make this vision a reality for countless Virginians who cannot imagine it today. We offer the following services throughout our footprint: Adoption (pre- and post-adoption services), OPTIONS Day Support and Sponsored Provider homes for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, Foster Care, Independent Living, Outpatient Counseling, Family Engagement, Intensive In-Home, Group Therapy, Intensive Care Coordination, and Post-Placement Support.

Interesting Info

Annually, our 200 employees support more than 900 children, teens, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
DePaul has published our first book ever! "Billie the Fainting Goat: Billie Learns to be Brave." Billie the Fainting Goat learns to overcome his anxiety.
We work to overcome the barriers to children and adults being able to receive urgently needed services. To see a Virginia where there are no waiting lists.
