What We Do
Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lynchburg commits to doing "Whatever It Takes" to help youth and teens to win at the Big Game of life! We improve lives of young people by increasing daily access to safe places, caring adult mentors, homework help, health and leadership programs. We are open during out of school times. After school are the most critical time for children and teens we pride ourselves on providing a clean, safe and fun environment to help members learn and grow. . . The Club is open Monday-Friday, 2:30 pm - 7:00 pm (8:00 pm for teens). Our summer program opens from 9AM to 5PM.
Interesting Info
- We have youth step through our doors an average of 30,000 times a year.
- Youth are served snack every day in the afterschool program and during the summer camp. That is about 120 snacks daily!
- The Club can serve up to 130 youth safely each day. 100 youth ages 6-12, and 30 teens.
