The Arc of Central Virginia provides opportunities for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to experience life to the fullest. We empower adults with disabilities to design the kind of life that they want to live. While The Arc of Central Virginia helps people find volunteer opportunities, we also provide access to recreational and social activities. Our goal is for The Arc of Central Virginia participants to be fully included and valued members of their community.
We currently serve over 90 individuals through our Day Support, Community Engagement, and In-Home Support Programs. Skill building activities, socializing, volunteering, fun day trips and after hours opportunities so everyone can live the life they choose!
- We have 10 different Community Engagement Groups that engage in the community to volunteer with their own favorite organizations.
- Through grants and partner funding, we are able to offer a state of the art sensory experience for every individual.
- New FREE community resources open to everyone in the IDD community - Parent & Provider Support Group and Arc After Hours!
