What We Do
The Arc of Central Virginia provides opportunities for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to experience life to the fullest. We empower adults with disabilities to design the kind of life that they want to live. While The Arc of Central Virginia helps people find volunteer opportunities, we also provide access to recreational and social activities. Our goal is for The Arc of Central Virginia participants to be fully included and valued members of their community.
We currently serve over 65 individuals through our Day Support Program. Lots of fun activities, cooking classes and EPIC dance parties!!
Interesting Info
- We have 7 different Community Engagement Groups that engage in the community to volunteer with their own favorite organizations.
- Through grants and partner funding, we are able to offer a state of the art sensory experience for every individual.
- The first Arc Aid Music Festival started in 2023. We're excited for everyone to come out to Arc Aid April 13, 2024!
