What We Do
Appomattox For Equality (AFE) has a desire to inspire local change through education, communication, and community support. We want to ensure there is an equal seat at the table for the underrepresented communities in Central Virginia. We are currently doing a Black History Month series to recognize local and iconic Blacks with the assistance of community members. We have town hall meetings to engage community unity and education. We have partner with Appomattox National Historical Park to bring the stories of various enslaved people that impact the develop of Appomattox County.
