Lynchburg’s iconic Texas Inn is the setting for this raucous and poignant musical about the mysterious alchemy of a late-night eatery. Run by sharp-tongued matriarch, Miss Betty, and frequented by regulars like the kindhearted Brooks, the Texas Inn, aka the “T-Room,” draws folks of all stripes to its stainless steel counter. But when two UVA professors, Maddy and Khent, roll up one evening in their shiny new Tesla, they get more than just some local color and an inexpensive meal. Instead, thanks to a pair of feisty young locals, Liza and Gunner, their lives are forever changed. With a live band embodying the spirit of the Texas Inn, this musical celebrates the communal spaces that bring people together from all backgrounds and walks of life.
