High school students will help design and paint a large scale work of public art on the new Vector Space building in midtown. This project will incorporate thoughtful discussion of contemporary and historical public art works, hands-on preparation, and installation of a work of public art.
Teens will be given the chance to submit their ideas for the design of the mural before the project begins! On the first day of class we will reveal the design, have a discussion about the history and logistics of public art and get to work transfering the design to the mural spot. By Friday, a new piece of public art will be revealed in Lynchburg.
