Morning Session – “We See You, Mom”

Cost: $10
Foster care training credit available.
Description:
Motherhood is beautiful, but it’s also relentless. This session is a space to breathe, connect, and be reminded: you’re not invisible, and you’re not alone. Whether you’re raising kids as a single mom, a foster or kinship caregiver, or a mom simply navigating the mess and meaning of everyday life — this time is for you. Recorded session from Jamie Finn, speaker and author, Foster the Family. Together, we’ll reflect on identity, burnout, and grace, and offer tools and encouragement for moving from survival toward thriving.

Afternoon Session – “Parenting in the Hard Places”
Time: 2:00p - 4:30p
Cost: $10
Description:
Parenting can feel like sacred ground and a battlefield — sometimes all at once. This session offers a real look at what it means to show up for children when behaviors, histories, or circumstances make it hard. We’ll create space for honest conversation, emotional regulation tools, and practical strategies for navigating tough moments — whether you’re a birth parent, foster parent, or caregiver supporting a child through trauma, loss, or big transitions.
Evening Film Screening – Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot
Time: 6:00p-8:30p
FREE
Description:
Facilitated film screening. This powerful film tells the true story of 22 families from a rural Black church who stepped forward to care for children in the foster system no one else would take. It’s raw, faith-driven, and deeply human — a testimony to what love and community can do.
Please Note: The film contains authentic portrayals of trauma and may not be suitable for young children. Please use discretion when considering bringing kids.
After the screening, we’ll host a brief reflection circle to process and connect as a community.
