Not a runner? No problem!

You can still be part of the 5K on the Runway by volunteering! It takes about 70 volunteers to make this race take off, and we need YOU!

The United Way 5K on the Runway, is perfect for participants ages 8 and older, who are able to complete 5K in 60 minutes or less. The course is flat and fast. The course follows the taxiway parallel to the main runway.  Come out, join the fun, support United Way of Central Virginia, and see Lynchburg Regional Airport in a whole new way! The United Way 5K on the Runway is scheduled to take flight on Saturday April 26, 2025. Proceeds from this event support the mission of the United Way of Central Virginia.
