Chaplain Responsibilities: * Excellent interpersonal and listening skills * Care for the residents of the homes morally, ethically and spiritually; regardless of faith issues * Lead one-on-one and small group sessions * Reliable, Courteous * Keep confidential records of pastoral activity * Provide spiritual generosity “emotional, spiritual, religious, pastoral, ethical, and/or existential care” Time Commitment Expected: * Respond to requests for pastoral care in a timely manner * Weekly in-person sessions with house residents * Confident to be able to transfer skills to any necessary location (community center, hospital, residence, or jail/prison) Leadership Opportunities: * Mentor Chaplin interns * Pick up new residents for the Lighthouse Lodge and/or the Veteran’s home using the Lighthouse passenger van * Visit prisoners in jail * Conducting bible studies/worship services for Lighthouse Community Fellowship * Author and/or co-author materials relevant to spiritual care * Participate in research relevant to the field Working Conditions: * Direct contact using universal precautions * Substantial time requiring a high degree of emotional energy and mental alertness * Mobility through homes and the community center Other: * References required * Certifications in good standing required * Background check
