Love to make people smile? Clients receive a gift basket full of little gift items in the month of their birthday. Volunteers are needed to fill and wrap these baskets to have on hand during client appointments. Volunteer times would be Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the 3rd Saturday of each month. On these days, Agape is open from 10:00-2:00, but basket makers could do 1/2 days if it fits their schedule better. One day a week or once a month...anything is helpful.
Agape Center Lynchburg is a non-profit organization serving the Greater Lynchburg community through one-on-one mentoring, a food pantry, and a clothes closet. We also provide toiletry, household, and furniture items to families in need. At Agape, we aim to develop meaningful relationships with our clients and change their lives by meeting both their spiritual and physical needs. The gift basket maker will work with the gift basket lead to make beautiful and love-filled gift baskets for our clients. Help us celebrate with our clients on their special day. The term “Agape” is translated from Ancient Greek referring to unconditional love. Join us in serving and loving our neighbors!
