Educators and business leaders are invited to join us for our 2024 kick-off STEM PD  - It's All About ENERGY!    EnergizeED: Powering STEM Education in Central Virginia - A Regional Professional Development Session. We will have local business leaders share current examples of Energy tools and tips you can use with your students.  Register HERE:   Registration Closes February 26 at 5:00 p.m.

Overview: The Future Focus Foundation is excited to host a Regional STEM Professional Development (PD) event at Central VA Community College, centered around the exploration and understanding of energy resources in our region. This engaging and informative PD aims to provide educators with valuable insights into energy Science Standards of Learning (SOL) while fostering connections between the academic community and local businesses that support our region's energy initiatives. This event is made possible by a grant from the Great Lynchburg Community Foundation.

Objectives:

Educators will . . .

• Explore and participate in hands-on energy-related STEM lessons aligned to VA Standards of Learning 

• Network with other STEM teachers in the region

• Learn about how community organizations and local businesses utilize energy resources (provide?) in the community
