The Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation has had many great leaders since its inception in October of 1972. The Foundation has helped the community in countless ways under each person’s leadership.
As the current President & CEO, Bill Bodine, steps out of his role at the Foundation and into retirement, Kathryn Yarzebinski is stepping in as the new President & CEO.
Yarzebinski comes to the Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation from Randolph College where she served as Director of Development. During her time at Randolph, Yarzebinski was part of a team that raised more than $6 million in donations during the 2021 fiscal year.
In addition to her position at Randolph she has also been extensively involved in the nonprofit sector. She has served on the boards of many of our partners, such as Miriam’s House and the Junior League of Lynchburg.
We have so much great news to share from our nonprofit partners about their amazing work. But, we'd love to hear from you. Let us know if you have stories you'd like to tell and we'll make you a guest blogger!!
