THE BIG READ AMHERST COUNTY VIRGINIA "AN AMERICAN SUNRISE" BY JOY HARJO

ALL EVENTS FREE. AGAR and its 8 community partners (Amherst County Library, Museum and historical Society and School System, Amherst Woman's Club, Central Virginia Alliance for Community Living, Central Virginia Community College, Monacan Indian Nation and Sweet Briar College) will present virtual talks by Joy Harjo, Poet Laureate of the United States and Muscogee Creek Tribe member online (staying up from 4 pm on March 14 until April 8, 2022 that can be viewed on AGAR's YouTube.) Also book discussions, and a presentations about the Monacan poet Karenne Wood. Go to AGAR website for details about all public events.
